2013 Totto Ramen

This is one of the really hyped ramen places in NY, which opened a new branch in west village recently. Is it good? I am probably not the right person to comment, since I personally love porky intense richness in my soup base so this doesn’t quite cut it for me given that it is mainly chicken stock. even with the spicy oil /rayu (+$1.25) which barely adds flavor and spiciness.

However, everything else is quite nicely done, nice soft char siu, a generous helping of garlic and scallion, nice firm menma, noodles and more. For its price, there are few other ramen eateries in NY that can beat it in terms of both taste and price.
