Ang Ku Kueh Hut (AKKH) vs Ji Xiang. AKKH has more mung bean filling than Ji Xiang. AKKH uses finer peanut filling than Ji Xiang. AKKH, at $1.20, cost 20c more than Ji Xiang. AKKH has a tougher glutinous rice layer than Ji Xiang. When placed in the fridge, Ji Xiang’s still sticky whereas AKKH is like a brick. At room temp, Ji Xiang is a lot softer. There is no better or worse, just personal preference.
I still prefer Poh Cheu, but frankly, they are all good.
