Look at all that chili.

  1. Kung Pow Shrimp has a great texture and caramelization, but not fragrant. Could use more chilli and scallion.
  2. Mapo Tofu is decent. Chen’s better though.
  3. Spicy garlic pork slices are amazing. Soft, tender and full of flavor. It is lacking a little in acidicty, but still an amazing dish.
  4. Fish fillet in oil is ok. Love the giant beansprout, prefer boiled fish fillet.
  5. Chong Qing laziji is a litmus test of any Sichuan restaurant. It has a very similar taste and look to Chen’s laziji. I prefer the one at Toa Payoh.
  6. Nice classy restaurant for sichuan food.
