Look at all that chili.
- Kung Pow Shrimp has a great texture and caramelization, but not fragrant. Could use more chilli and scallion.
- Mapo Tofu is decent. Chen’s better though.
- Spicy garlic pork slices are amazing. Soft, tender and full of flavor. It is lacking a little in acidicty, but still an amazing dish.
- Fish fillet in oil is ok. Love the giant beansprout, prefer boiled fish fillet.
- Chong Qing laziji is a litmus test of any Sichuan restaurant. It has a very similar taste and look to Chen’s laziji. I prefer the one at Toa Payoh.
- Nice classy restaurant for sichuan food.
