The humble stall at Smith St hawker center serves one of the best soya sauce chicken in Singapore. The meat is well seasoned (Yes, the breast meat taste savory, not bland) even without sauce. Drizzle the sweet soya gravy and you have yourself an addictive plate of juicy chicken. The skin has a rich brown color that looks like it was smoked, but with a more slippery (in a good way) texture. I would be remissed if I did not mention the one other item on the menu – the spherical tofu. Words can’t describe how good it is so I shall end this post with a cliffhanger.
